Change to Driving Test

As from April 6th, all Driving Test candidates will be asked if they wish their instructor to accompany them on Test. There are a number of advantages to this arrangement. Briefly :

• Instructors will be able to see how the test is coducted and will become fully conversant with local test routes.
• Candidates often do not listen to the test debrief. An instructor being present will mean that he/she can go over the examiner's comments and explain them fully to the candidate.
• Examiners will be able to build up a closer working relationship with Instructors.

This is a totally voluntary arrangement and it is NOT compulsory for instructors to accompany candidates on test.
